emFlock2是一個面向Softimage|XSI的群集解算器，它使用3條「基本群集規則」：

1、Separation防止成員之間的擁擠和碰撞
2、Alignment能夠調整每個成員的方向（heading）以適應臨近位置的平均方向（heading）
3、Cohesion使得每個成員都能夠出現在可見臨近對象的平均位置上

這個插件由面向群集解算器節點（執行32位和64位版本的Softimage代碼）的"DLL"文件（Windows）
或"so"文件（Linux）組成。此外，也有大量的組合（Compound）來控制粒子的速度和對齊。

新版本包含了一個被稱作emFly的組合（Compound）設置。這些組合支援你自定義複雜的粒子飛行
路徑。此外，它們還支援你將集群粒子「變種」成各種形狀。

emFlock2和emFly被很好的集成到ICE中，且能夠與內置的"Flow along Curve"、"Forces"、"Bounce
from Surface"等組合（Compound）很好結合。

Along with the flocking ICE node comes a handful of useful
compounds for controlling the particle speed and orientation
as well as a set of compounds called emFly that can be used to
morph point clouds into shapes.
